What is the Erasmus Exchange Program ?

Erasmus is primarily a higher education program that provides international mobility of a university student. This program, funded by the European Union, aims to improve inter-university communication in higher education and increasing the dimension of Europeanism. In this respect, the Erasmus program aims to ensure the exchange of students and educators in order to promote international cooperation among European universities and to create a common platform in which the studies and degrees achieved in the European Union countries are recognized.

Is it possible to provide financial support for Erasmus students?

The Erasmus program provides Turkish students with financial support of up to 300 EURO per month. It should not be forgotten that monthly living expenses in a city in Europe vary from 500 to 1000 EURO.


What is accommodation in the country?

If your country does not provide private quota for Erasmus students, you must solve your accommodation with your own accommodation.


Will I continue to pay tuition fees for the university during the term?

Yes, we will continue to pay the tuition fee for the semester.


How many students can stay at the university?

Depending on the agreement made by our university, one or two semesters can be educated at the university.


How many times can I use the Erasmus program?

Every student can only be an Erasmus student in his / her life.


Will I pay a fee or a fee to the university of the destination country?

No, you won't. You will have all the rights of the students studying in that country. You will be charged the same fee if you use places such as labs, libraries Labor for those countries who are charged for a fee.


Will I read again when I return to my country?

No. The credits and notes received in the destination country will be accepted by the school in your country. However, if you have a missing credit due to the period difference, you will complete your remaining credit.


What happens if I get a lesson in the country I'm in?

You will receive a course equivalent to the course you have stayed in your country. However, if your GPA is below 75, you must return your Erasmus contribution.


Will the student who has completed the eighth semester at the university abroad can get the diploma of that university?

No. You will receive a diploma from the university in which you are registered.


Can I continue my education at the university?

Yeah. If you meet the transfer conditions of the university, you can continue your studies there.


How does the program work?

The universities that wish to participate in this program apply to the European Commission for the Erasmus University Charter (EUC) within the specified dates. As a result of its evaluation, the EUC entitles these universities to participate in the activities supported by the Erasmus program.


What are the activities of the Erasmus Program?

Starting from the 2003-2004 academic year, the universities that have applied for and received Erasmus University Charter will benefit from the Erasmus activities supported by the program.
