Selcuk University campus ranks the greenest 431st campus in the world

UI GreenMetric University Ranking 2022” in which the world's distinguished university campuses are evaluated in environmental sustainability categories based on 6 criteria and 51 indicators, including "settlement and infrastructure", "energy and climate change", "water", "waste", "transportation" and "education"” has been announced.

Selcuk University (SU) campus ranked 431th among world universities, rising 167 places compared to the previous year, and ranked 36th among universities in Turkey, climbing 9 places.

It ranked 27th in the energy and climate change category and 32nd in the education category in Turkey. In the world, it ranked 376th in the energy and climate change category.

SU received full marks in the category of “education” for sustainable society projects involving cultural activities and students. In the "Transportation" category, it was also entitled to receive full points for the alternatives developed to reduce the use of private vehicles on campus.

In the category of “Energy and climate change”, it also got the best evaluation in innovative programs and green building applications.

In the category of “settlement and infrastructure”, Selçuk University achieved the best evaluation score in the forest-covered campus area.
