Selçuk University Faculty of Agriculture was established with the Decree Law No. 41 dated 20 July 1982. While students were admitted to the Soil Department in 1982, Field Crops and Agricultural Machinery Department in 1983, and Zootechnics Department in 1983, education activities continue in 9 departments as of now. It moved to its own building on the Alaeddin Keykubat Campus in 1992. Our students complete an education program of 8 semesters in 4 years and obtain an Agricultural Engineer undergraduate diploma. In the Food Engineering Department, the same education-training program is applied to other departments within the Faculty of Agriculture, but different diplomas are given.


Mission :

Selçuk University Faculty of Agriculture is an educational institution that is kneaded with fully-equipped national and moral values that the country needs, and that considers it its duty to train Agricultural Engineers who will put the country's interests above their own. In addition, it has considered it a duty to transfer research, development and knowledge and experience gained in order to increase the welfare of the farmers and producers of the region where it is located. Strong and prosperous Turkey has set itself the ideal of making all kinds of sacrifices related to its field of activity and cooperating with every institution and organization operating in the agricultural sector in order to achieve its ultimate goal.


Vision :

With nearly 40 years of knowledge, experience and infrastructure, Selçuk University Faculty of Agriculture is getting closer and closer to its goal of being the best agriculture faculty not only in its region but also in Turkey and Europe. It works devotedly at the point of following the changes and innovations in the world closely and presenting them to the agriculture of the region and country. The knowledge and experience of its academic staff is capable of solving all kinds of problems that the country needs. In this context, in addition to the production of grain, vegetable seeds and all kinds of seedlings and saplings that the country needs, alternative breeding systems for animal husbandry and solutions to overcome the difficulties encountered in animal feeding are presented. It also develops policies integrated with the national and global structure for the development of the agricultural sector and shares them with all stakeholders of agriculture
