Purpose: The purpose of the internship is to teach the principles of application in the practice of primary health care in dermatological and venereal diseases.

Vision: The vision of the program is to be one of the best and most comprehensive departments in the field of dermatology and venereal diseases, to train the leading research physicians and academicians in our country, to provide patient services with the most advanced technical equipment.

Mission: The aim of this course is to educate physicians who have a high level of dermatology knowledge within the framework of social, universal and ethical values, who can make the best diagnosis and treatment of dermatological diseases, communicate well with patients and colleagues, follow innovations, always to continuous development and prioritize human values.

Program Description: In the internship, firstly the importance of dermatological examination and the diseases that can be diagnosed by this way will be explained. Differential diagnosis and treatment of diseases will be transferred to the students with theoretical and practical applications. In practical applications, they will be informed about how to use the information they learned in theoretical courses. It aims to teach the students the diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of emergency dermatological diseases. It will be taught that serious disease groups that cannot be solved in primary care will be referred to centers with specialist dermatologists or to a health institution. For this purpose, allergic, bacterial, viral, fungal, immune, neoplatic (tumoral), drug-related and genetic diseases of the skin will be processed during the 3-week internship.

Admissions Requirements: Our internship is in the 5th year of medical school. The conditions of admission to the Faculty of Medicine are as follows:

Recognition of Prior Learning: Within the framework of the regulations determined by the Higher Education Council (YOK), students are admitted to this program with the central exam system called YKS. The students are placed in the related programs by the Measurement Selection and Placement Center based on the score they obtained after the students submitted their program preferences they want to study.

Graduation Requirements: Regular attendance and passing the exams.

Principles of Assessment and Evaluation: During the internship, a report is completed for all students, evaluating the activities and patient performances during the internship. At the end of the internship, the results of the theoretical examination and structured oral exams are taken together with the results of the report.

Employment Opportunities: All graduates of the medical school have job placement guarantees due to the State Service Obligation.
