Purpose: To provide learning their legal responsibilities and legal arrangements, their approach to forensic cases, the forensic cases examination and sampling methods, the clinical forensic medical applications, the necessity of death diagnosis and forensic deaths, the importance of forensic reports and forensic report writing, sexual assaults, injury types of the students of the Faculty of Medicine.

Vision: To carry out the necessary activities in order to take a more active role in the national forensic medicine departments.

Mission: To gain knowledge, skills and competencies specific to the Forensic Medicine discipline which the medical school students will need in their professional lives.

Program Language: Turkish

Program Description: Within the scope of this internship, legal responsibilities of physicians in professional practice, approach to cases with forensic nature, mechanism and types of injuries and deaths, approach to sexual assault cases, evaluation and reporting processes of forensic cases are included.

Admissions Requirements: The Forensic Medicine Internship is in the 4th year of medical school. Admission to the Faculty of Medicine is as follows: For Turkish students: Under the regulations determined by the Higher Education Council (YÖK), admission to this program is carried out by the central exam system called ÖSYS. The students are placed in the related programs by the Measurement Selection and Placement Center according to the score they obtained after reporting the program preferences they want to study. For foreign students: Foreign students, internationally valid SAT I, ACT, GCE and so on. According to the results, such as exams or by universities or by our university made Foreign Students in Turkey under the guidelines regarding the current score of the exam are accepted. For exchange programs: Admission of exchange students is carried out within the framework of bilateral agreements signed between Selçuk University and the partner university (Erasmus, Farabi, Mevlana or General Academic Protocol).

Recognition of Prior Learning: To pass the 1st, 2nd and 3rd grades of Faculty of Medicine.

Graduation Requirements: To follow the requirements of attendance and to be successful in the exam.

Principles of Assessment and Evaluation: End of internship practical and theoretical exam.

Employment Opportunities: All of our medical faculty graduates have the opportunity to work in public and private sectors as physicians.
