Purpose: The purpose of Travel Management and Tourist Guidance Masters Program are to follow the basic developments of students in tourism industry, to provide academic research areas, to monitor the current developments and trends in tourism sectors and its sub-industries tour operators in travel agencies and other travel agencies,to make them learn the research projects required by the sector, to investigate the problems of tourism and travel enterprises and to produce solutions, to recognize and perceive the tourism sector and its environment more closely, to develop individual skills, to make decisions, strategies and policies on related issues, to develop the skills of transferring information to the business life in the most appropriate way, and also to enable the society to reach an adequate level to contribute to the development of tourism and travel awareness.

Vision: The aim of this course is to educate the future instructors who have academic success in tourism and travel sector and who are experts in the field of Travel Management and Tourist Guidance.

Mission: To provide students who are attending the Travel Management and Tourist Guidance Masters Programme follow the basic developments and conduct academic researches related to the department.

Program Description: Travel Management and Tourist Guidance enables Masters students establish qualified communication with academic and sectoral stakeholders in the field of travel and tourism appropriate to the needs of the International Businesses in the strategic and competitive areas,make them aware of thie shortcomings. Admissions Requirements: Admission to the graduate program: a) To have a bachelors degree and to apply to the related institute within the written period. b) Candidates must have ALES standard score to be determined by the Senate, but not less than 55 standard points. ALES conditions are not required for admission of students to fine arts faculties and conservatories. (2) The minimum success rate for the admission of the candidate to the masters degree programs, not less than 50% of the applicants, the ALES score, the undergraduate graduation weighted average and the written exam or the art-culture exam grade in the programs with art content will be effective on the total grade. The grade is determined by the Senate. (3) Proposal of the EABD board, the approval of the board of directors of the institute and the minimum ALES score and minimum success grade with the decision of the Senate may be increased and additional conditions may be introduced. (4) The written exam or art-culture exam shall be made by the jury consisting of three principal and two alternate members to be determined by the board of directors of the institute in line with the proposal of the EABD board. The jury must pass the examination documents and results to the relevant institute within two days at the latest. (5) When the grade is calculated, the grade notes are not completed. In order to determine the priority among those who have equal scores, undergraduate graduation weighted average and ALES score are taken into consideration respectively.

Recognition of Prior Learning: Having graduated license

Graduation Requirements: The masters program consists of 60 ECTS for courses and seminar, and a total of 120 ECTS credits, including 60 ECTS for master thesis and 60 ECTS credits for masters thesis.

Principles of Assessment and Evaluation: The method of measurement and evaluation applied for each course is determined by the principles of Selcuk University Graduate Regulations and related institutes.

Employment Opportunities: Graduates of the Department of Travel Management and Tourist Guiding can work as lecturers if they meet the requirements of admission in the relevant universities.
