Purpose: Skilled technicians needed in the foreign trade department of the public and private sectors , to work as assistant managers or middle managers , which can be served as a B carnet of the Customs Brokers help in customs brokerage , which may operate to office in foreign trade on their behalf , to work in the foreign exchange department of the bank and international logistics which can serve as the company s operations officer , who can use communications technology effectively , can produce creative ideas and grow successful individuals in social relations.

Vision: Issues like services, commodities, capital and know-how that mankind will need a general classification, nowadays are increasingly subject to global proportions, namely obtained from international markets, but in the future it will become universal. This awareness of the generations that have grown and perfected their communities will make big contributions to the prosperity and tranquility.

Mission: Studying on the issues related to Foreign Trade, doing researchs, identifications and provisions about regulations aproprate to education and training, materials, instructors, programmes, plans, criterias, traineship, opportunities, post-graduation job opportunities

Program Language: The language of instruction is Turkish.

Program Description: Silifke Tasucu Vocational School, was ed as the only programme in the 1992-1993 academic year with Tourism and Hospitality degree programme. Opened in 1995, the Foreign Trade Associate Degree Programme has a quota of 60 person Normal Education and 60 person Secondary Education. This programme prepares students to the profession and provide the necessary information. To support the information that is taught in the programme with textbooks 30 business days of internship is required. Students graduated from this department have the right of vertical transfer to the programmes which make formal and distant training through "The regulations of the Graduates of Vocational High Schools to Continue Associate Degree Programmes Vocational School and Open University"

Admissions Requirements: Candidates need to have High school or an equivalent school diploma and to be placed by Student Selection and Placement Center to her/his choice through using the right of pass without examination according to graduation grade point average in case of the quota expiry they must take enough points from high school programs as a result of the University Entrance Exam..

Recognition of Prior Learning: Students coming to the programme through Transition to Higher Education Examination(YGS), admisssion or undergraduate transfer, may be exempted from the courses they have taken and passed previously by the decision of the Board.

Graduation Requirements: A student is required to take and pass the courses ( total 120 ECTS) neccessary for the graduation envisaged in the programme, to complete applications, 30 days internship and other similar work successfully, and graduate weighted grade point average must be at least 2.00 to graduate from the programme.

Principles of Assessment and Evaluation: Evaluation criterias in the programme are arranged basically as theoretical lectures and practical work. At least one midterm and a final exam is done for each course. Instructor , according to the course, can make education activities like quizzes, projects, field work, etc during the period of the semester. Instructors are free to evaluate success acording to midterm exams, final exams, quizzes, projects, etc. Each instructor announces the evaluation criteia s/he will apply for success at the ning of the period. Students success in this course is determined according to the letter grade , the total of 40 % of the midterm and 60 % of final exam which is given by the instructor after final / make-up exams . Students must take at least CC to be successful in a course. Instructors can pull the score intervals in the following table, however, can not determine the letter below the letter of provision as a letter grade which is calculated through the above method different letter grades can not be gicen to the students who have the same grades Letter grade given to a student can not be lower than the students who has lower scores than her/himself. G: Passes, successful from non credit courses M: Exempted, in the orientation of the students who are acepted from a higher education program through external and undergraduate transfer or have re-recording right through central placement while studying in a higher education program the note they take from the program they study and be successful before. Employment Opportunities: Students can work in companies engaged in import-export, or transit trade, transport and logistics sector, foreign exchange departments of banks, business organization engaged in international trade fairs, relevant government agencies, marketing / sales department.
