Purpose: The aim of this program are to Provide our students with intellectual depth and tools required for self-sustained learning about animal breeding while emphasizing knowledge and make research projects in order to development animal agriculture in our country

Vision: To educate self-confident and fully equipped individuals especially veterinarians needed for economically important livestock raising notably farm animals in our country.Another fundemental vision of the department is to plan the foundation of active management of modern farms ,do research ın key issues of utmost urgency and need and lead Turkish Animal breeding

Mission: The mission of this program are (1) to train veterinarians equipped with the latest knowledge in animal breeding and care in accordance with the requirements of the day and our country conditions, (2) to develop research projects in the livestock sector in order to take a more active role in the development of our country. (3) to transfer d information to growers.

Program Language: Turkish

Program Description: to give information about economically important animals, animal welfare, protect genetic sources, animal shelters, organic animal husbandry. Scientific research and projects are produced and their results are published by scientists and researchers in the department.

Admissions Requirements: a) A diploma of Faculty of Veterinary or Animal Science Department of Faculty of Agrıculture b) Tran c) Minimum 55 scores in ALES Exam d) Criminal and service record e) to apply the program personally

Recognition of Prior Learning: Adjustments of the students and transitions between programs are made in the framework of "Selcuk University Graduate Education and Training Regulation" dated May 18, 2014 and published in the Official Gazette No. 29004 by the Institute Board of Directors

Graduation Requirements: a) A total of 120 creditst: 60 ECTS for seminar and lectures and 60 ECTS for master thesis b) to pass lectures with at least 24 credits c) to summit seminar and master thesis

Principles of Assessment and Evaluation: To be successful in a course, the student shoud get CB scores for each course. At least 1 fınal exam and 1 make-up exam are required.If necessary the lecturer/instructor can give homework,mid-term exam,farm work,presentation or so for evaluation To graduate, average grade point should be over 2.50
