Course Objectives Fundamental concepts of ore deposits, industrial and energy raw materials, natural building materials and gemstones. Evaluation criteria of ore deposist, to be made in investigations of ore deposits geometry, wall rock relationships, structure-texture features, assemblages (paragenesis), succession, tipomorf concepts, geothermometry - geobarometry concepts and their associated field and laboratory teaching. Formation of ore deposits, minerals in the formation of igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic effects. Gold, antimony, copper, zinc, lead, mercury, iron, silver, tin, chromium, manganese, molybdenum, nickel, tungsten and other rare metal bearing formation, usage, exploration Turkey and world reservoirs and examples.

Course Learning Methods and Techniquies
Course lecture notes given in class and prepared presentations will be given in the form of training to face the files over. Also widely in our country superficial deposits received from the students will be introduced to the samples in the laboratory. Technical tours will be held to mineral deposits near Konya in the period around day and a ed mineral deposits in provinces a few days.

D.Ö.Ç. 1 Students will know the concepts such as mineral deposits , concentration, mineralization , enrichment , ore - gangue mineral and wall rock 4
D.Ö.Ç. 2 The concept of natural sources such especially as ore depostis, metallic ores , industrial raw materials, natural building materials, energy raw materials and gemstones will learn. 4
D.Ö.Ç. 3 Students will be knowledgeable about clarke concentration, minimum operating grade, enrichment coefficient of concepts such as mineral deposits, as well as any mineralization in order to assess the political, technological, economic al and environmental criteria. 4
D.Ö.Ç. 4 Students will be knowledgeable about research methods of mineral deposits, ore - wall rock relations, ore geometry, structure - texture properties, paragenesis- succession and will gain the ability to interpret of mineralogical - petrographic and chemical analyzes. 2
D.Ö.Ç. 5 Students will learn concepts and specifications of geothermometer ? geobarometer and tipomorf besides will gain the ability of acquisition and interpretations in this context about geothermobarometric data such as fluid inclusions, stable isotopes and structure-texture features of minerals in hand specimens and/or petrographic sections. 3
D.Ö.Ç. 6 Students will have information about the effects plate movements in the process of formation of mineral deposits, igneous - metamorphic and sedimentary processes. 3
D.Ö.Ç. 7 Students will have to be sought examined the location of mineral deposits, along with the location and structural geological features in the rock formation according to the model which type of idea about what type of mineral deposits. 4
