Purpose: The graduates of the geomatics engineering department are the engineers who suggest solutions to meet the needs in the basic areas of geomatics engineering, and are engaged in qualified production by using theoretical and practical knowledge. They themselves, and have the ability to lead and function in teams, and act in projects efficiently. They use current professional instruments and information technologies efficiently, and have the ability to develop software at basic level. They presents and advocate their solutions to whom it may concern by using written, verbal and visual communication techniques. They function considering professional and ethical responsibilities.

Vision: The vision of the department of geomatics engineering is to become a respectable institution who provides an education and teaching that meets the needs of the country considering current science and technology, and contributes to the science and technology at the national and the international level with the scientific research and applications it conducts, and offers its graduates in the service of the country and humankind.

Mission: The mission of the department of geomatics engineering is to prepare and ute a comprehensive and continuously improved curriculum for the students who wish to take geomatics engineering education. The department aims to educate their students according to their educational objectives.

Program Language: Turkish

Program Description: Four year first cycle education that consists of 8 semesters

Admissions Requirements: Undergraduate Placement Examination (UPE), Vertical Transfer Examination Examination (VTE) (central examinations at national level), The Entrance Examination For Foreign Students and Undergraduate Transfer

Recognition of Prior Learning: Students coming to the program through undergraduate transfer and external (vertical) transfer exam can be exempted from lessons, which they took and passed before, by decree of the faculty board of directors.

Graduation Requirements: It is necessary that the student passes all lessons, which take place in the program with a total of 240 ECTS, and for which he is responsible. Students must also have a Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 2.00. The student success is evaluated according to Academic and Examination Regulations of Selçuk University.

Principles of Assessment and Evaluation: Success of the students is evaluated according to the regulation about teaching and examination at Selcuk University. Moreover, Principles of Assessment and Evaluation for each course are completely disclosed in the course deion catalog.

Employment Opportunities: The graduates of geomatic engineering can be employed in Governmental Institutions and private companies. The graduates can also establish their own businesses.
