Course Objectives The aim of this course is to understand the states and regional policies in Central Asia and the Caucasus.In terms of the content of the course, the semester is structured as roughly three sections.   The first part will focus on the domestic politics, political institutions and foreign policies of the states in Central Asia and Caucasus after the Cold War. The regional political issues of Central Asia and the Caucasus and the regional cooperation efforts of the countries will be discussed. Finally, international competition will be focused on the international actors that play an important role in these regions.   Thus, Central Asia and the Caucasus will be dealt with in the political institutions and dynamics of the regional countries as well as in the context of regional and global politics.
