Purpose: To educate sculptors acquiring s for understanding and developing the development of art and its processes using science and technology in a competent way in the area of sculpture and its restoration having knowledge to work in the creative art and design areas competent in the art of sculpture and ready for the process of post-graduate education designing art products and having the ethics of art, creative, hard working believing the Professional development with Life Long Learning and being effective in the interdisciplinary studies

Vision: To educate sculptors, sculpture restorers and artists with the ethics of art

Mission: To educate intellectual artists with the knowledge and technique necessitated by the modern age concerning the cultural heritage of Anatolia and to provide new hopes fort he future of Turkey with the art of sculpture and enrich its culture

Program Description: To educate sculptors, sculpture restorers and artists with the ethics of art

Admissions Requirements: The Department of Sculpture gives an additional score fort he students coming from the related departments of Fine Arts High Schools because of its being a department necessitating the technical knowledge and ss from the first years. In the undergraduate level, students coming with vertical transition are not accepted.

Recognition of Prior Learning:

Graduation Requirements: Undergraduate Education of the Department of Sculpture: With 8 semester ( 4 year) education programme, it is a department giving education with 30 ECTS in each semester. Students can graduate with 240 ECTS totally.

Principles of Assessment and Evaluation: For evaluation, theoretical and practical exams, oral examination, submission of homeworks and study-internship documents are used. As a criteria, Selcuk University, Faculty of Fine Arts exam practice and regulation is considered.

Employment Opportunities: Students graduating from the Department of Sculpture can work as self-employed sculptors, make academic studies and work in companies expertized on the restoration and conservation of sculpture.
