Prof. Dr. Ahmet Dinçer Bedük was born in 1944 in Kılaban, Uludere. He completed his secondary school education in Diyarbakır and high school education in Çankırı. He graduated from Yıldız University, Department of Galatasaray Chemical Engineering as a “Chemical Engineer” in 1972. At the same year, he was assigned to Diyarbakır University Faculty of Medicine as a “research assistant in chemistry”. He got his “PhD on Chemistry” title in 1978. He continued his duty as an assistant till the end of 1982.

He was assigned to Selçuk University, Faculty of Science and Literature, Department of Chemistry as an “Assistant Professor” in 1983. In the Department of Chemistry, he worked in various administrative units as the “Chairman of the Department”, “Vice Chairman of the Department”, and “Head of the Organic Chemistry Branch”. He was appointed “Head of Konya Vocational School of Higher Education” in 1985 and carried out this duty till 1990. He worked as the “Head of the Higher Education School of Technical Sciences” in between 1990-1996. Since the two higher education schools were elected as the pilot schools by Turkish Higher Education Council and Word Bank Industrial Education Project, he participated as an administrator to several seminars, courses and technical visits in Turkey and abroad (USA, England).

He got his “Associate Professor” degree in 1995 and “Professor” degree in 2001. He has several articles on Organic Chemistry in various national and international journals. He is married and has three children
