Purpose: It is aimed being trained students of the Department of History respecting universal human rights principles, the ethics of science, and providing the highest level of knowledge in the field.

Vision: The students in the department of history is trained on national and on moralistic values, furthermore issues like as universal principles of human rights, foreign cultures, science, ethics, the students gain the highest level of professionally in their occupation through an education of quality in the future.

Mission: The history department aims to give the students ability to take use of methodological tecniques in their academic researches and gain the ability to criticism, synthesize and to make compression of the events. In this context, practical use of the theoretical knowledge which is acquired by the students will be provided.

Program Language: Turkish

Program Description: Undergrade education is four years ın our department. Our department has masters and doctoral education. Turkish is the language of instruction.Sudents wishing to specialize in their field can take elective courses in addition to the compulsory courses. Training program conducted at the Department of History is intended to educate historians. In addition to it, our department aims to provide trained personal for range of services in related areas.

Admissions Requirements: Education opportunities each year depending on education section as determined by number of undergraduate students. Chapter license training for those who want to successfully completed high school or equivalent education and university entrance examination must be received enough points. Recognition of Prior Learning: Recognition of previous learning Turkish higher education institutions has not yet completed the process start is currently being developed. This is why previous busy schedule.recognition of learning has not yet started.

Graduation Requirements: History of education is for 4 years. A student who is registered for the program in order to be graduated from the program, the courses required for the graduation and has managed to have a internship program, applications, and the like must complete work with success and graduation mass note average must be at least 2.00. When program students who have successfully completed department of History, they will receive a undergraduate diploma. Principles of Assessment and Evaluation: The success of students written and oral examinations for semester and the duties are considered part of the seminars. Students who takes AA, BA, BB, CB, CC one of the lesson will be considered as being achieve. DC, DD and the student one of these courses should be considered successful for semester/year weighted average note must be 2.00. If not, repeat the courses they do this. Conditional pass (DC, DD) with notes on make-up examination evaluation is performed after final exams. Employment Opportunities: Those who graduated from the history department serve as historian and archivist in institutions. They can work in library, archive, etc.. institutions, private research centers, foundations, as a researcher at the Ministry of Culture and lecturers in universities. Graduates with pedagogical training can work as teachers in schools affiliated to the Ministry of Education.
