Purpose: adopted concepts and principles related to the profession, and know landscaping projects design and drafting principles for urban, rural and private areas. Know ornamental plants cultivation, maintenance and application process. Can use natural and cultural resources in agricultural issues, including quality assurance. Can employ technical staff qualified to take part in the design and production units.

Vision: peyzaj ve süs bitkileri yetiştiriciliği alanında yetkin ara eleman yetiştiren ve, kendini yenileyen ve geliştiren bir program olmaktır. Programda, bitki yetiştirme, peyzajda kullanma ve bakımı ile ilgili alanlarda çalışan mühendis ve peyzaj mimarlarına yardımcı olabilecek ara elemanlar yetiştirilmesi amaçlanmaktadır.

Program Description: The program is a two-year education degree program consists of 4 semesters. A total of 15 weeks of classes are taught each semester. There is also two time compulsory summer training period which each is thirty day

Admissions Requirements: Acceptance and Enrollment Regulations: 1. graduated from determined of vocational high school by the way of admission 2. Students which are graduated from the other sections of vocational high school or high school is placement on space-available basis by examination which are YGS (Higher Education Examination) points and numerical score (SAY) .

Recognition of Prior Learning: Recognition of Prior Learning: Regulations of Interagency Credit Transfer Principles shall apply in Double Major and Minor, and Higher Education and Transition Between associate degree program and undergraduate program.

Graduation Requirements: Graduation Requirements: to obtain aassociate degree in Landscape and Ornamental Plants growing should take students in the compulsory and elective courses (total 120 ECTS) and must successfully complete all of the 30-day summer practice twice.

Principles of Assessment and Evaluation: Measurement and Evaluation Principles: 1. Students make the course registration in ning of period, and attend at least 70% of the theoretical school lecture and at least more than 80% of the applications. 2. Students who meet the conditions are examined to at least one midterm and final exam for each course. 3. Passmark is the sum 40% of the midterm exams notes (the scores obtained from homework notes, laboratory exams, etc. may be considered as midterm exam) and 60% of final exam. 4. All exams are evaluated out of 100 points and they are represent asletters AA, BA, BB, CB and CC. The students have one of the notes are considered successful in that course. DC and DD are conditional success marks. The student must have a minimum 2.0 grade point average to be successful in a course with DC and DD marks.

Employment Opportunities: Employment Opportunities: The Graduates can work as intermediate staff such as government agencies, municipalities, landscape architectures firms, ornamental plants production and selling firms, nurseries and greenhouses but also can set up their own firms.

Jump to Top Degree Programs: to Access Upper Degree Program: Landscape and Ornamental Plants Program students take an exam in 4th Semester to DGS (transfer exam). Depending on the results of this examination they can change to a four-year degree program suc as Landscape Architecture and Urban Design, Forest Engineering and Agricultural Engineering.
