Purpose: The aim of the program is bring up qualified stuff to public and private organizations, decision-making process in the fundamental principles of the effective geographical information technologies and spatial data management which have analytical thinking and problem solving capabilities. The program aims to teach all aspects of the theoretical and practical coverage of work, specialization in Remote Sensing and Geographical Information Systems field and conduct students which are having Research capability in this area.

Vision: Become a leading program that graduates are preferred by the business Community, innovative, with a sustainable education system to be preferred by the students together with the leading to the developments.

Mission: Bring up Productive, researchers, self-confidence winner, sensitive to ethical values, contributing to the development of related industries, contributing to the socio- cultural life of the community, adequate technical training, with knowledge and skills which are adapt to changing circumstances and follow the technological developments.

Program Language: Turkish

Program Description: Associate program within the period of 2 years and consists of four semesters. Total of at least 60 weeks to 15 weeks of education provided. Each student has an obligation to join probation activity for each year with 30 day period.

Admissions Requirements: Higher Education Students YGS (Transition to Higher Education Examination) is considered through an examination-based. Candidates institutions of higher education, test scores, and school grade point averages YGS-1 is a combination of points of entry. Vocational Schools Vocational and Technical Secondary School graduates can be placed without an examination.

Recognition of Prior Learning: Students are enrolled at Selcuk University with a diploma of secondary education they have received on the results of the examinations which is handled by OSYM. If the students have any lessons that they are graduated from any other program, they can be exempt from the lessons. Exemption requests of students admitted during the specified time shall be decided by specifying the grade of Management Councils within one week of the date of application.

Graduation Requirements: Student training period of two years and at the end of the fourth semester, a total of 120 ECTS credits to be successful in this course. In addition, each student, at the end of the period of at least 30 business days of the operation of public or private institutions are required to successfully complete the application.

Principles of Assessment and Evaluation: Measurement and evaluation principles Selcuk University Undergraduate and Graduate Education and Examination Regulations are carried out according to the provisions. Accordingly, students must register for classes at the ning of each period and join at least %70 of lessons and %80 of application lessons. Students are subjected to at least one midterm and final exam for each course. Success grade, midterm exams (midterm homework notes , laboratory exams, the scores obtained from measuring tools such as quizzes, etc. can be evaluated ) contribution %40 and final exam contribution is %60. All exams are evaluated over 100 points. A student which is gained AA , BA, BB , CB and CC degree considered successful in that course. DC and DD are conditional success. DC and DD weighted grade student to be successful in a course which must have a minimum 2.0 grade point average .

Employment Opportunities: The graduates of this program can be employed at institutions in the public and private sectors and organizations and in particular producing primarily spatial data of local governments and their functioning unit which is started to constitute in our country as Geographical Information Systems.
