Purpose: Give education at the level of bachelor and graduate levels.

Vision: To be able to take an active role in the employment of qualified and trained coaches in sports.

Mission: To lead in increasing the number of qualified and senior coaches in sports.

Program Language: Turkish

Program Description: Our department graduates work as coaches and assistant coaches in amateur and professional sports clubs, central and provincial organizations under the authority of General Directorate of Youth and Sports and schools under the authority of Ministry of Education.

Admissions Requirements: Having a high school diploma, getting a high enough score in the University exam performed by Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM), not being enrolled to another higher education institution, to succees in the special talent test performed by Physical Education and Sports School.

Recognition of Prior Learning: Our students have the cognitive, affective and psychomotor competencies they have had since secondary school years.

Graduation Requirements: Students are supposed to obtain the needed ECTS credits after four-year education (8 semesters) and got the needed qualifications previously stated in the curriculum to be able to graduate from school.

Principles of Assessment and Evaluation: Undergraduate and graduate degree assessment types and criterias are supposed to be previously stated in the ECTS forms of the courses available in the curriculum.

Employment Opportunities: The main working area of the graduates of Coaching Education Department is the Sports Federations involved in Ministry of Youth and Sport, General Directorate of Sport. Besides, autonomous (self-governing) sports federations, sport clubs and special sport centers can also be counted in the employment areas.

Jump to Top Degree Programs: Provided that the candidates having completed the undergraduate degree successfully, take valid grade from ALES exam, may study in a post-graduation program in sports science or related fields.
